MINNEAPOLIS, November 16, 2005 - Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. (Nasdaq: GCFB) announced the opening yesterday of its 11th restaurant/microbrewery located in Kansas City, Missouri.
"Yesterday was another great opening in a fantastic location," said Steve Wagenheim, Granite City Food & Brewery's President and CEO. "We are located at the entrance of Zona Rosa which is an upscale lifestyle center in an open, urban setting offering shopping, dining and entertainment. We anticipate strong sales as we head into the holiday season and we are looking forward to increasing our presence in the market as we add at least two more units in the Kansas City metropolitan area in the next few months."
Wagenheim said the company's developer is currently negotiating on additional sites in Nebraska, Wisconsin and Minnesota for continued expansion in 2006 and 2007.
Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. currently operates 11 Granite City Food & Brewery casual dining restaurants featuring made-from-scratch food and handcrafted beers. Its broad menu offers traditional and regional foods served in generous portions at reasonable prices, affording guests an excellent value and great dining experience. Its first Granite City location, in St. Cloud, MN, opened in June 1999.
