MINNEAPOLIS, September 20, 2005- Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. (Nasdaq: GCFB) announced the opening of its tenth restaurant/microbrewery today in the St. Paul/Minneapolis suburb of Eagan, Minnesota.
"We are very excited with today's opening...our tenth Granite City Food & Brewery," said Steve Wagenheim, Granite City Food & Brewery's President and CEO. "It's a beautiful restaurant and the Minneapolis/St. Paul market has already proven to be a great location for us. We are looking forward to continued success and growth in this market and throughout the Midwest."
Wagenheim said the next Granite City is scheduled to open in November in the heart of Zona Rosa-- an upscale lifestyle center which is located in north Kansas City.
Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. currently operates ten Granite City Food & Brewery casual dining restaurants featuring made-from-scratch food and handcrafted beers. Its broad menu offers traditional and regional foods served in generous portions at reasonable prices, affording guests an excellent value and great dining experience. Its first Granite City location, in St. Cloud, MN, opened in June 1999. Subsequently, the Company opened restaurants in Sioux Falls, SD, Fargo, ND, West Des Moines, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Davenport, IA, Lincoln, NE, Maple Grove and Eagan, MN and Wichita, KS.
